A schoolboy is in hospital after being struck by a car while on his bike in North Lanarkshire.
The 13-year-old was cycling on George Street in Chapelhall around 9.15pm on August 14 when he was hit by a car.
Police said the driver failed to stop at the scene.
The schoolboy was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow for treatment.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.15pm on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 officers were called to a collision involving a car and a youth on a bicycle on George Street, Chapelhall.
“The car failed to stop.
“The cyclist, a 13-year-old male youth, was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow for treatment.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
