Concern is growing for a missing man from Renfrewshire who recently moved to Scotland from Australia.
Cain Poulsen was last seen on Callander Main Street in Stirling at around 12pm on Tuesday during a visit to the Bracklinn Falls area.
The 24-year-old, originally from Brisbane but currently staying in Paisley, is described as being around 5ft9 with short brown hair and brown eyes.
When last seen he was wearing a beige puffer jacket, black jeans, a black or checked shirt and Timberland style boots.
His sister Alexis has appealed for help in tracing him and revealed he was recently informed that his grandmother had taken unwell.
Writing on Facebook she said: “Our little brother is currently uncontactable in the UK.
“After receiving news from home that our Yiayia is not well, he has gone offline and his phone is now off.
“His last contact with anyone was at 10pm last night (AEST TIME).
“Police have been contacted as well as the embassy – police are currently attending his last known location.”
Inspector Bill Donohoe, of Forth Valley Police Division, who is leading the search for Cain said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned about Cain and are asking for the public’s help to trace him safe and well.
“I would ask if anyone has seen someone matching this description or has any knowledge of his whereabouts that they get in contact with police.
“Anyone with any information is asked to come forward and speak to officers.”
Worried friends back in Australia have also been appealing for help on social media.
Nick Mencha said: “Cain only moved to Glasgow recently from Brisbane.
“He has been uncontactable, last seen in Callander. Police & the Aussie embassy are aware. If you‘ve seen Cain, please contact Glaswegian police on 101.
“He was staying in Paisley but would have last been in Bracklinn Falls area. Cain was last seen wearing a light tan jacket, plaid shirt, jeans and brown boots.
“He’s around 5’9″ in height and of average build. He may be wearing a backpack.”
