A little girl has lived out her dream of singing on stage with country superstar Shania Twain.
Adrianna Croall from Uddingston attended the singer’s concert at the Hydro in Glasgow with her mum Danielle and her Nana on Friday evening.
Twain spotted the nine-year-old singing and dancing along to every song, commenting during her set that she was an “inspiration”.
The star later invited Adrianna on stage to meet her during the concert and was shocked to see she was missing her shoes.
Adrianna replied: “I took them off to stand on the chair to watch you.”
“That’s a good idea, so you can get up higher,” replied Twain, who had crouched down to the little girl’s level.
When asked by Twain if she liked to sing, she replied yes and gave a rendition of Honey I’m Home to massive cheers by the Glasgow crowd.
Visibly impressed, Twain exclaimed “that was amazing!” and gave Adrianna a big hug to which the little girl said “you’re my favourite singer in the whole world”.
Twain then said “let’s get a picture so I can have this moment forever”.
Adrianna’s proud mum told STV News: “She’s ecstatic, she’s naturally very confident. My sister and I love Shania Twain and Adrianna said that during lockdown we played her songs constantly and she knew every word.
“During the concert Adrianna was on my shoulders and Shania could see her dancing and singing.
“Honey I’m Home is her favourite song and to get up on stage and sing with her was a dream come true.”
