A man claimed he was blackmailed by a Scots OnlyFans model into sending her £20,000.
The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, stated he transferred the cash to Portia Riddick, 23, in October 2023.
He told a jury that Riddick threatened to tell his friends that he had purchased explicit content from her.
Riddick is on trial at Glasgow Sheriff Court, charged with extorting a total of £20,013 from the man.
The charge spans between October 15 and October 25, 2023 at Riddick’s home in the city’s Possilpark.
The court heard that the pair added each other on Instagram in 2021.
However, it was not until October 2023 that the man contacted Riddick, who allegedly advertised her content on the social media platform under the username ‘PortiaHughes123’.
The man, who the court heard was described as “vulnerable”, stated in his evidence that he initially paid £40 or £50 on two occasions for private explicit content.
He claimed that the content was paid for through a bank transfer, of which details had been sent to him.
Prosecutor Abbas Ali asked if anything had happened to him on October 15, 2023.
The man replied: “Yes, I uploaded a celebratory story for Scotland qualifying for Euro 2024 and tagged two of my friends as I was going to Germany with.
“A message from the account asked me to send money, or she would message my friends telling them what I had been buying.”
The man stated that he was “in shock” and initially sent a payment as he believed it was a “one-off.”
Mr Ali asked why he sent the money, and he replied: “I didn’t want my friends to find out.
“I held my hands up to that. I didn’t want anyone to find out.”
Jurors heard that the man sent a string of payments varying from £10 to £2,000.
He claimed that he was contacted on social media twice a day during this period.
The man stated that he believed he was going to get his money back if he sent a final £2,000 payment on October 25, which he did.
It was claimed that he thought he would meet a friend of Riddick’s in Glasgow city centre to return the cash, but they did not turn up.
The man told the court that he then reported the matter to the bank and the police. He added that he later got his money back.
Ross Jenkins, defending, put it to the witness that he had messaged Riddick on social media in February 2025.
The message read: “Cheeky…because you want to secure daddy for more money”.
The man denied making the message. He initially refuted other screenshots from May and June 2026 of him looking at Riddick’s social media story.
The man later claimed he was checking to see if Riddick was saying anything about him.
Mr Jenkins asked: “What I suggest was happening here was that this money was being sent because you were clearly trying to purchase content from Portia Riddick. Do you accept that you were getting content sent to you?”
The man replied: “Wrong.”
Jurors later heard from Riddick’s younger sister, who claimed she was almost arrested by police who visited their home.
Paris Riddick, 20, claimed that she had opened a bank account, which she gave full ownership to Portia Riddick.
Paris Riddick stated that Portia Riddick told officers she controlled the account and arrested her instead.
A police officer told the court that he asked to report the matter in a police van rather than at his then home, which he shared with his parents.
The trial continues before Sheriff Joan Kerr.
