Scots lottery winner has five days to claim £58m prize

The winning EuroMillions ticket was purchased in South Ayrshire on March 17.

A mystery lottery winner only has five days left to claim their £58m prize.

The winning EuroMillions ticket was purchased in South Ayrshire on March 17, for the draw that same day, but has remained unclaimed ever since.

Now nearly six months later the ticket’s owner only has five more days to collect the life changing amount before it expires on September 13.

The winning numbers on the EuroMillions draw were 5, 7, 8, 16 and 20 with 2 and 12 as the Lucky Stars.

Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at the National Lottery, said: “We’re desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and unite them with this massive prize, which could really make a huge difference to somebody’s life.

“We’re urging everyone who might have bought a EuroMillions ticket in this area to check their old tickets or look for any missing tickets at home.”

If no-one comes forward before Sunday’s deadline, the £57,869,670 prize money will go towards National Lottery-funded projects across the UK.
