Extra rail services have been laid on for fans of the Foo Fighters heading to US band’s concert at Hampden Park next week.
Dave Grohl’s rock band will play at the Scotland national stadium on Monday, June 17 with ScotRail confirming extra trains will run prior to and following the show.
The Foo Fighters previously played at Glasgow’s Summer Sessions in Bellahouston Park in August 2019.
Music fans will be able to access more services from Glasgow Central to Mount Florida, and additional late-night services have also been confirmed by the rail operator.
Concert-goers are encouraged to check and plan their journey in advance and to allow extra time for travel as trains to and from the city centre are expected to be busier than normal.
Phil Campbell, ScotRail customer operations director, said: “We’re looking forward to helping music fans travel by train to see the Foo Fighters in concert at Hampden Park on Monday night.
“We’re adding more services between Glasgow Central and Mount Florida to help fans travel to and from the event.
“Our advice to customers is to allow extra time for travel as trains are likely to be more popular than normal on Monday evening.
“Buying return tickets before you board will help your journey run smoothly.”
