Scotland’s “first ever” wellness and music festival is set to launch in Paisley next year.
Paisley Alive, due to take place in 2026, is to combine the “energy of live music with the joy of fitness and movement”.
The festival will feature daytime yoga, high-energy workouts, and self-care workshops, with the backdrop of live music by leading Scottish and UK acts from its main stage.
The festival has said it is committed to celebrating and uplifting the local community and will offer priority tickets to Renfrewshire residents, with children under 12 also to be offered free entry.
Proceeds from the festival will be reinvested to restore the Barshaw Park bandstand into a year-round venue for live performances, weddings, and community events.
Organisers of the festival, including Renfrewshire entrepreneur and electronic festival promoter Scott McFarlane, are now inviting members of the local public to shape the festival during its pre-launch phase.
Mr McFarlane said: “As a dad of two young children, I wanted to build an event that my whole family could enjoy. Something that felt good, did good, and brought people together through music and motion.”
“Paisley is on the rise. With over £100m being invested in cultural infrastructure, from the museum to the town hall, now is the time to launch a festival that brings that momentum to the people of Paisley.”
