A teenage girl was rushed to hospital after being assaulted near a supermarket in Glasgow.
Emergency services were called to Balmore Road, in Possilpark, at around 6.45pm on Tuesday after receiving reports of a 13-year-old girl being assaulted near a Lidl supermarket.
She was subsequently taken to hospital as a precaution.
Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing at this time.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Around 6.45pm on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 officers were called to reports of an assault at Balmore Road, Glasgow.
“Emergency services attended and a 13-year-old girl was taken to hospital as a precaution.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
A spokesperson for SAS said: “We received a call at 6.41pm on Tuesday to attend an incident on Balmore Road in Glasgow.
“We dispatched one ambulance and a critical care paramedic to the scene. We transported one female teenage patient to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.”
