Officers confirmed that a schoolgirl who went missing on the way to meet friends in Glasgow has been traced.

Lily Clark, from the Milton area of the city, was last seen by family members at around 2.15pm on Saturday.

At the time of the appeal, the force said the 11-year-old was planning on taking the bus to meet friends in Glasgow city centre.

Police confirmed on Monday morning that she had been traced and thanked the public for their assistance.
