A schoolboy has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car at rush hour on Tuesday morning in Renfrewshire.

Emergency services were called to Love Street in Paisley at around 8.20am on January 23 following a crash between a car and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a 14-year-old boy, was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow as a precaution.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.20am on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, we were called to a report of a crash on Love Street, Paisley, involving a car and a pedestrian.

“A 14-year-old boy, the pedestrian, was taken to Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow, as a precaution.”
