A 13-year-old boy has been charged in connection with the “attempted murder” of a 16-year-old in Glasgow.
Officers were called to Greenfield Park in Eskbank Street around 8.15pm on Friday, May 31 after a 16-year-old male was found with alleged serious injuries.
A 13-year-old has now been arrested and charged in connection with attempted murder.
He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, June 3.
The 16-year-old was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where medical staff described his condition as “critical”.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 13-year-old boy has been arrested and charged in connection with the attempted murder of a 16-year-old male during a disturbance in the Cranhill area of Glasgow.
“Emergency services were called to Greenfield Park in Eskbank Street around 8.15pm on Friday, May 31, 2024, and found the victim seriously injured.
“He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where medical staff describe his condition as critical.
“The 13-year-old boy is due to appear before Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, June 3, 2024, and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
