Two crashes on the M8 on Wednesday morning have caused the motorway to be backed up over six miles with long delays during rush hour.
Traffic Scotland confirmed that queues from The Fort (Junction 10) to Charing Cross (Junction 17) were slowing due to two collisions on Wednesday morning.
An initial crash at Junction 16 near Cowcaddens alongside a breakdown caused traffic to back up to Junction 13 Provan at around 7.40am.
A second westbound crash, involving multiple vehicles, led to further disruption at 8.42am at Junction 17 near Charing Cross.
This caused delays of up to 40 minutes with traffic backed up for five miles to Junction 11 Stepps Road Interchange.
