Officers are looking to trace a man after an “unprovoked” attack in Glasgow city centre.

The incident occurred at around 3.45am on Sunday, November 27, in the city’s West Regent Street.

Two men, aged 21 and 23, were assaulted – the 21-year-old was taken to hospital and received treatment as a result.

Police are looking to trace a man described as in his 20’s, around 5ft 10in tall, of medium build, with brown hair combed over and clean shaven. He was wearing a dark t-shirt, dark jacket and black jeans.

The man was last seen running west along West Regent Street.

Detective constable Matthew McCann of CID in Glasgow said: “This has been an unprovoked attack on two men within Glasgow City Centre.

“The 21-year-old victim was taken to hospital as a result of this assault and required treatment.

“I would urge anyone who has any information regarding the incident to contact police in 101 quoting incident number 0720 of November 27, 2022.

“Alternatively Crimestoppers can be called on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
