Roads closed due to Scottish Power work as drivers asked to avoid area

Roads have been closed around East Dunbartonshire due to Scottish Power work.

Multiple roads in Kirkintilloch have been shut due to engineers carrying out works in the area.

Police have said South Bank Road is closed from Cowgate to South Bank Drive.

Due to the works, officers are urging drivers to “avoid the area”.

A spokesperson said: “Several roads are closed due to Scottish Power carrying out works in the Kirkintilloch area.

“South Bank Road is closed from Cowgate to South Bank Drive.

“For local access to South Bank Road, use South Bank Drive. Motorists should avoid the area if possible.”
