Road closed after death of woman as public urged to avoid area

A road has been closed in Irvine following the death of a woman.

Emergency services were called to Pladda Avenue around 6.15am on Tuesday following reports of the death of a woman.

Members of the public are urged to avoid the area while emergency services are on the scene.

A Police Scotland statement read: “Pladda Avenue in Irvine is closed following the death of a woman.

“Officers were called around 6.15am on Tuesday, September 30 2025.

“Emergency services are at the scene and the public is advised to avoid the area.”
