Road closed in both directions after one-vehicle crash

The A809 Stockiemuir Road has been closed at the junction with the B834 in Blanefield following a one-vehicle crash.

Police said the incident was reported around 2.20pm on Saturday.

Emergency services attended the scene, and the road was subsequently closed to allow for investigation and vehicle recovery.

Diversions have been put in place at the junctions of the B834 and the B8050, with motorists urged to follow local signage and avoid the area where possible.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The A809 at the B834 junction is currently closed following a one-vehicle crash.

“Drivers are advised to use alternative routes while enquiries are carried out.”

No further details about the vehicle or any injuries have been released at this time.
