Heather SmithA major road on the A77 has been closed due to a building fire in South Ayrshire.
Traffic Scotland said drivers are being diverted by police at Vicarton Street near to Girvan station after reports of a building on fire.
Amey SW Trunk Roads advised road users to use an alternative route and allow extra time for their journey.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
