Road closed after two-vehicle crash as drivers urged to avoid area

A road in North Ayrshire has been closed at rush hour following a two-vehicle crash.

Police confirmed the B714 is closed for around four miles from the Kilwinning Road roundabout in Dalry to the Sharphill roundabout at Saltcoats.

The collision took place around 6.40am on Thursday, officers said.

Drivers are being urged to avoid the area.

A Police Scotland statement read: “The B714 is closed from the Kilwinning Road roundabout in Dalry to the Sharphill roundabout at Saltcoats following a two-vehicle crash that happened around 6.40am on Thursday, May 28.

“Road users are advised to avoid the area.”
