Road closed after car crashes into building as drivers urged to avoid area

A road has been closed by police after a car crashed into a house in Argyll and Bute.

Police were called to a crash involving a car and a building on the B842 at Stewarton, near Campbeltown, Kintyre around 4pm on Monday.

Emergency services remain on the scene, and drivers have been urged to avoid the area.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “The B842 is closed at Stewarton following a collision involving a car and a building which happened around 4pm.

“Emergency services are at the scene and drivers are urged to avoid the area.”

A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We can confirm that we are in attendance with two appliances present.

“We received the call at 15.57pm.”
