The A83’s Rest and Be Thankful has been closed as a precaution as heavy rain batters Scotland overnight.
All traffic will now be diverted via the Old Military Road, causing longer than usual waiting times in Argyll and Bute.
A yellow weather warning was in place for most of the west coast – as far north as Fort William and spreading to parts of the east coast including Fife – from 3am on Monday until 9am on Tuesday.
Traffic Scotland said: “The A83 is open both directions at the Rest and Be Thankful under convoy on the Old Military Road.
“This is due to forecasted adverse weather conditions in the area.”
Rest and Be Thankful is regularly forced to close due to issues such as landslips causing adverse weather conditions.
In August it was blocked by 6000 tonnes of debris when car sized boulders slid down the hillside after heavy rain.
It was closed for three weeks as a result before being reopened in September.
