Residents have returned to their homes after a gas leak at a flat in Glasgow sparked an evacuation.
Emergency services were called to Abbotsford Place in the Laurieston area at around 4pm on Wednesday following the incident.
Residents were evacuated from nearby properties by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service while engineers worked to resolve the issue.
SGN confirmed that residents have since returned to their homes after they capped the gas at some affected properties.
Bradley Barlow, spokesperson for gas distribution company SGN, said: “Earlier today, we attended Abbotsford Place in Glasgow at the request of the emergency services.
“As a precaution, the local fire service evacuated residents and we capped the gas at some properties. Residents have since returned to their properties.
“We can confirm there is no issue with our gas network in the local area.”
