A man who raped a woman in his Renfrewshire flat has been jailed for five years.
Ross Docherty attacked the victim, who was too drunk to consent to sex, at his home in Paisley, on August 6 2018.
The 24-year-old was sentenced at the High Court in Glasgow on Thursday having earlier been found guilty of rape.
Lady Rae told him: “You have been convicted of a very serious charge as you took advantage of a young woman, who was so intoxicated she could not give proper consent to sex.”
Three other men – including a 52-year-old – had also been accused of raping the same victim along with Docherty.
However, one died prior to the trial with the remaining two acquitted.
Docherty – who denied the charge – was also put on the sex offenders list.
