A public appeal has been issued to help find a missing 55-year-old man from South Ayrshire.

Police said it was “out of character” for Kevin Finnie not to be in touch with friends and family and that they are keen to ensure he is safe and well.

He was last seen at around 9pm on Wednesday, July 24 in the Kings Park area of Ayr.

He is described as around 5ft 8, of medium build, with short brown greying hair. He was last seen wearing a navy t-shirt, dark denim jeans and white trainers.

Police Scotland said he may be driving his black Range Rover, registration F1 LLM. The force said he had connections in Glasgow.

Inspector Kevin Blackley said: “It is out of character for Kevin not to be in touch and we need to make sure he is safe and well.

“If anyone has seen Kevin or knows where he might be then please call us. If Kevin hears about this appeal then I ask him to make contact with us or his family.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland 101, quoting reference number 4264 of Wednesday, July 24.
