Plans have been put forward which could see 160 flats built opposite Ibrox Stadium.

Merchant Homes has submitted proposals to convert part of the Albion Car Park, at the junction of Broomloan Road and Edmiston Drive, into a residential development.

The housebuilder’s architects have described the blueprint, which consists of two back-to-back horseshoe shaped blocks, as “both sympathetic to and celebratory of the history of the area.”

This plan form also fits the site really well,” the architects added.

“Our scheme also proposes a monochromatic colourway for the buildings with their red hues matching the iconic Ibrox Main Stand.”
<div class=
