Probe launched after 'liquid thrown' into Rangers pub

An investigation has been launched after a liquid was thrown into a Rangers pub on Tuesday evening.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident at Walter’s Bar on Rutherglen’s Queen Street at around 4.45pm.

Officers attended the scene and it was determined that the liquid was not hazardous.

No one was injured during the incident.

Enquiries to establish the full circumstances surrounding the attack is ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.45pm on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 we received a report that a liquid thrown into a public house in Queen Street, Rutherglen. 

“Officers attended and the liquid was found to be non-hazardous.

“There were no reported injuries and enquiries are ongoing.”
