An investigation has been launched after a crossbow was fired at a property window in Glasgow.

Emergency services were called to Plenshin Court at around 7.10pm on Sunday after reports of the weapon being discharged.

Officers searched the area, however, no one was traced.

There were no reported injuries and an investigation is ongoing.

Detective Sergeant Colin Murphy said: “We believe that this was a targeted attack at this property and thankfully no-one was injured as a result of this reckless behaviour.

“Our enquiries so far have revealed that a group of youths were involved in a disturbance in the Plenshin Court area prior to the crossbow having been discharged and we would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this disturbance or seen anyone making off after the crossbow was discharged.

“Anyone who has captured the disturbance or the crossbow discharge on dashcam or CCTV footage is also asked to contact police immediately.

“There will be an increased police presence in the area and anyone with any concerns should speak to the officers.”

Those with information are urged to contact Police via 101 and quote incident number 2420 of January 18, 2026.
