Probe into unexplained death after body found on grassy area

The man’s body was discovered near to Dundyvan Road in Coatbridge on Sunday morning.

Police have launched an investigation into the unexplained death of a man in North Lanarkshire.

The man’s body was discovered on a grassy area near to Dundyvan Road in Coatbridge on Sunday morning.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the death.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.40am on Sunday, April 26, police received a report of man’s body being discovered on a grassy area near to Dundyvan Road, Coatbridge.  

“The death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.”
