A man has been taken to hospital after being found with serious burn injuries.
Police have now launched an investigation to find out how the 60-year-old came to be injured.
Officers were called to a flat in Cardowan Road within Glasgow’s Carntyne area at around 8am on Monday.
The man was taken to the city’s royal infirmary, where he is in a stable condition.
A force spokesperson said: “Around 8am this morning, police were called after a 60-year-old man was found with serious burn injuries at a flat in Cardowan Road, Carntyne, Glasgow.
“He has been taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment. Medical staff describe his condition as stable.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish how he came about his injuries.”
