A pub has been left damaged after a mass brawl erupted outside on a Glasgow city centre street.

Video footage of the incident appears to show Celtic fans grabbing and throwing chairs at pub-goers outside Rangers bar Oswald’s, with them then being thrown back.

Police said around 20 people were involved in the disturbance on Oswald Street at around 2.55pm on Saturday.

There were no serious injuries reported but the pub did suffer damage to its exterior.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to help them identify those involved.

Detective inspector John Semple said: “We are aware of videos circulating online and we’re appealing for witnesses to help us identify those involved.

“Our enquiries have been ongoing since the incident happened and we are continuing to review CCTV footage.

“I would encourage anyone with information about this incident, who perhaps witnessed anything related to this shortly before or after the incident took place, to contact us.

“Mobile phone videos or dash cam footage can also be submitted to us.”
