A much-loved Greek restaurant in Glasgow has announced it is to close after 15 years in business.
Yiamas Greek Taverna, located on Bath Street in the city centre, will close its doors on July 27.
The restaurant, which first opened in 2012, is well known for its flavour-packed Greek street food.
Founded by Yiannis Bantouvakis, the site has been run by his wife Linda and daughter Stascia following his death in 2016.
Despite the site closure, the owners said it was not “goodbye” and that Yiamas would be going through an exciting transformation.
Sharing the news on social media, they said: “It has been an incredible 15 years, and we have met the most amazing people.
“Yiamas customers truly are the best, but it’s time for us to move on.
“We will be closing our doors on July 27 as we prepare for the evolution of Yiamas.
“From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for all the support through the years. We’re not saying goodbye, just see you soon.”
