Police are treating a huge blaze at a former primary school in Coatbridge as deliberate.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at around 5.20pm on Tuesday to the incident at the former Greenhill Primary School on West George Street.
Six appliances and two high-reach appliances were sent to the scene.
Police Scotland said on Wednesday evening that enquiries are ongoing into the wilful fire.
There are no reported injuries, and the roads which were closed in connection with the fire have been reopened, officers added.
