Police have traced a stolen Audi while on patrol four months after a theft in Glasgow.

On Saturday, February 1, officers from the Greater Glasgow Violence Reduction Unit spotted an Audi A4 in the Maryhill area while on patrol.

The car was reported stolen in November 2024 and had been using cloned registration plates.

Police seized the vehicle and carried out forensic enquiries which are ongoing.

A Police Scotland statement read: “On Saturday, February 1, Greater Glasgow Violence Reduction Unit officers were carrying out proactive patrols when they observed this Audi A4 in the Maryhill area.

“Enquiries revealed this vehicle was reported stolen in November 2024 and was using cloned registration plates.

“The vehicle was seized and forensic enquiries are ongoing before the vehicle is returned to the rightful owner.”
