Roads closed by police after sinkhole appears

Police have closed several roads in Glasgow’s southside after the appearance of a sinkhole.

Emergency services were called to Calder Street around 2.40pm on Thursday after the hole was discovered.

Road closures in place at Cathcart at Allison Street, Bankhall at Hollybrook and Hickman at Calder Street.

Drivers and pedestrians are being urged to avoid the area.
