Police are searching for the owner of a Audi after a house was broken into in West Dunbartonshire.

It comes after entry was gained to a property on Bontine Avenue, Dumbarton, at around 7pm on Tuesday.

Nothing was taken from within the property, but damage has been caused.

Enquiries have found that a car, a blue Audi, was in the area at the time of the housebreaking. Officers are looking to speak to the owner of the vehicle.

Detective sergeant Peter Jarvis said: “Our enquiries so far have found that a car, a blue Audi, was in the area at the time. We are keen to speak to the owner of the vehicle, or anyone that saw it last night.

“If anyone saw anything suspicious or has private CCTV or dash cam covering the area, then please get in touch as you may have vital information that could help with our investigation.”
