Police are searching for a man covered in fake blood following a robbery in Glasgow.

Officers were alerted following reports that a woman had been robbed of her phone whilst sitting in a car in the city’s Springfield Quay area at around 1.40am on Sunday, October 30.

The phone was then thrown into the River Clyde as the man left the area.

Officers are now appealing for any witnesses to the incident to come forward with any information.

The man is described as being white, around 17 to 25 years old, slim build, about 6ft tall with very short fair or ginger hair.

He spoke with a Glaswegian accent and was wearing a black jumper with a logo on the front, a white T-shirt, bright orange shorts, white trainers and may have had fake Halloween blood on his face and clothing.

Constable Alex Logie said: “Our enquiries into this incident suggest that a number of other people were at Springfield Quay around the time this happened.

“If you saw anything or believe you may have any other information which could help our enquiries then please get in touch.

“You can call police on 101, quoting 0513 of October 30, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
