Police have released an image of a man officers want to trace in connection with a sexual assault involving a teenage girl in Glasgow City Centre.
The 18-year-old was attacked near the Portland Bridge almost two years ago on Monday, July 13, 2020 but was “uninjured” in the incident.
Investigators carrying out enquiries into the incident, which happened shortly after 9:45pm, say they are now keen to speak to the man photographed and have asked anyone who may know his identity to come forward.
He is described as black, around 6ft with a medium build and is thought to be aged between 25 and 30 years old.
He is understood to have been wearing a light green or cream North Face branded jacket and black trainers at the time of the incident.
Detective constable Alexander McCullough, of Govan CID, said: “We are asking for anyone who recognises the man in the image, or for the man himself, to please come forward as it could prove vital to our enquiries.
“Anyone with any information on the incident should call police on 101, quoting incident 4099 of July 13, 2020. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
