Officers are asking the public if they recognise the man following two assaults before 7am within 40 minutes of each other.

Police have released images of a man they believe could assist with their probe into two early morning assaults in Glasgow.

The first assault happened at around 6.20am on Friday, January 19 on Charles Street while the second happened around half an hour later at 6.55am on Royston Road.

The man is described as white, about 5’11 tall, of slim build and between 25-35 years old.

At the time, he was wearing a black North Face body warmer, grey zip-up top, black trousers and trainers.

Detective constable Natalie Timothy, of CID, said: “We are asking the man in the image, or anyone who recognises him or who has information regarding these assaults, to contact officers through 101, quoting incident number 0476 or 0519 of January 19.

“Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
