A man has been charged after £350,000 worth of class A drugs were seized from a car in Lanarkshire.
Officers made the discovery on Tuesday morning after stopping a car on the M73 northbound carriageway near Gartcosh.
Police confirmed that class A drugs with an estimated street value of £350,000 were discovered within the vehicle.
A 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the recovery.
The man is set to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Wedneday.
The force is urging anyone with information about drugs in their area to come forward.
Detective sergeant Graeme Stoddart said: “Recoveries such as this highlight our determination to protect the public from this type of harmful criminality.
“It also underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy and we will continue to work with partner agencies to tackle this issue and make our communities safer.
