The body of a man has been recovered from the water by police in Clydebank.

Officers confirmed the body was recovered close to Beardmore Place at around 1pm on Friday, December 31.

Formal identification is still to take place, but the family of 21-year-old Joseph Miller have been informed.

Mr Miller had been reported missing from the Paisley area.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish the exact cause of death which is not being treated as suspicious. 

A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
