STV NewsPolice have carried out further raids at properties across Glasgow and Lanarkshire as part of their investigation into disorder at the Celtic title party.
Two officers were seriously injured, and three members of the public needed hospital treatment after thousands of supporters descended on the Trongate area of Glasgow to celebrate Celtic’s win over Hearts on May 16.
Bottles and pyrotechnics were thrown at officers during what has been described as “horrific scenes”.
As part of a second round of raids, properties in Rutherglen, Glasgow and Greenock were targeted on Thursday morning.
STV NewsThree men, aged 33, 35 and 37, were arrested in connection with offences including assault, breach of the peace and culpable and reckless conduct.
The arrests bring the total in connection with the disorder to 47.
Despite thousands being in attendance at the unofficial celebrations, detectives say they are only looking for around 80 people. Police Scotland previously published images of 58 people they wanted to interview.
STV NewsSuperintendent Derrick Johnston said: “I hope these arrests today make it clear that anyone involved in anti-social behaviour, violence or disorder, will be brought to justice.
“Today’s operation is the result of extensive work by officers to identify and trace those involved. Our enquiries remain ongoing and more arrests will be made.
“The disorder had a significant impact on communities, businesses, police officers and supporters and it will not be tolerated and anyone involved should expect to be identified and arrested.
