iStockA woman has died after being injured in a property in East Kilbride.
Emergency services were called to reports of a woman found with injuries within a property on Ash Avenue around 9.20pm on Tuesday.
A 49-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The death is being treated as unexplained, and enquiries are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.20pm on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, police were called to a report of a woman found with injuries within a property on Ash Avenue, East Kilbride.
“Emergency services attended, and a 49-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
