Police have launched an investigation following the death of a man after a car went up in flames.
Emergency services were alerted to the vehicle on fire in the Kilmuir Drive area of Glasgow at around 11.10am on Saturday.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service extinguished the blaze, however a man within the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
Inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Officers were called to a car on fire in the Kilmuir Drive area of Glasgow at around 11.10am on Saturday, April 17.
“Emergency services attended and the fire was extinguished.
“One man, who was within the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Police enquiries are ongoing and officers remain at the scene.”
