Police are investigating after a number of cars were deliberately set on fire in a West Dunbartonshire street.

Emergency services were alerted to the fires at West Court, Littleholm Place, in Clydebank at around 2.35am on Wednesday morning.

The blazes were quickly extinguished by fire crews, and officers have confirmed nobody was injured as a result.

Police have confirmed the fire is being treated as wilful and are conducting enquiries.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a number of cars on fire in West Court, Littleholm Place, Clydebank, around 2.35am on Wednesday, January 26, 2022.

“The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service extinguished the fire safely. There were no reports of any injuries. 

“The fire is being treated as wilful and enquiries are ongoing.”
