A police officer has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Hamilton.
Emergency services were called to Low Waters Road around 1pm on Friday following reports of a collision.
A pedestrian, a male police officer, was taken to hospital for treatment.
His condition is currently unknown.
Police remain have closed the road between Downie Street and Hall Street.
Officers remain on the scene to carry out investigations.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We are investigating a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle on Low Waters Road in Hamilton around 1pm on Friday, August 30, 2024.
“The pedestrian, a male police officer, was taken to hospital for treatment.
“Officers remain and the scene and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
