Four men have been arrested and charged after drugs worth around £50,000 were recovered by police.
It comes after a series of searches by officers from South Lanarkshire’s Divisional Alcohol and Violence Reduction Unit.
The searches were carried out in Bracken Brae, Lesmahagow; Low Water Road, Hamilton; Draffen Road, Netherburn; and Welsh Drive, Blantyre, between October 12 and October 20.
In total, approximately £14,000 of cocaine and £36,000 of cannabis was recovered from four properties.
A further incident saw officers, assisted by Police Scotland’s dog Unit, stop a vehicle near Machan Road, Larkhall, leading to the recovery of approximately £5000 in cash.
Four men – aged 26, 32, 39 and 58 – have been arrested and charged in connection with drugs offences, with each expected to appear in court at a later date.
A 25-year-old woman will also be reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with disorder offences as part of one of the warrants.
Sergeant Greig Baxter said: “Tackling drugs crime is a top priority for our team and information from the local community is absolutely vital in helping us target those involved in the supply of controlled drugs.
