Police have made a further appeal for information after an attempted murder in Clydebank.

A 31-year-old man was hit by a car on Graham Street at around 6.30pm on Tuesday, March 15.

The vehicle, a white Toyota C-HR, then drove off in the direction of Kilbowie Road.

Police on Thursday said that a 24-year-old woman was arrested in connection with the incident, but she was later released pending further enquiries.

Officers have urged a man who was walking with a child and crossed in front of the car before it hit the victim to contact them, as they believe he may be able to help them.

“From our enquiries so far, we know that a man walking with a child crossed in front of the car in Graham Avenue before it struck the victim.

“We believe that he may hold information that is essential to this investigation and I would urge him to contact us. He was wearing black trousers and a black jacket with distinctive yellow sleeves.

“Anyone who witnessed this incident or anyone with information that will assist our enquiry should contact officers through 101 quoting reference number 3120 of March 15.

“Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
