Police investigating the murder of a man found injured in Kirkmuirhill say they are following a positive line of enquiry.
Two men were found injured in the Braeside Crescent area around 4.45am on August 27.
Scott Boyd, 30, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 35-year-old man was taken to University Hospital Wishaw for treatment and has since been released.
Detectives say they are following a positive line of enquiry in relation to the incident and have thanked the local community for their support.
Officers are expected to remain in the area while investigations are ongoing.
Detective chief inspector Bob Williamson from the Major Investigation Team said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Mr Boyd at this very difficult time. We are continuing to provide them with support as our investigation continues.
“Extensive enquiries are being carried out by officers and specialist resources, and we are now following a positive line of enquiry.
“We would like to thank the public in the local community who have supported our investigation so far.”
Local area commander, chief inspector Sarah McArthur added: “We will remain in the area while investigations are continuing, and anyone with concerns should speak to officers.”
