Investigation launched after man assaulted outside pub

Police are investigating after a man was assaulted outside a pub in Glasgow city centre.

The 39-year-old man was assaulted outside McChuills on High Street in the Trongate area on Wednesday.

Enquiries are said to be ongoing.

A 29-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with an alleged breach of the peace following a disturbance outside the pub.

Another man was arrested and charged in relation to an alleged breach of the peace during a football match at Celtic Park later on Wednesday.

The 53-year-old was released on an undertaking to appear at court at a later date.
