A car fire that spread to a house causing extensive damage is being treated as deliberate by police.
Emergency services were called to the scene in the Carlisle Road area of Stonehouse, South Lanarkshire at around 11.05pm on Thursday January 30.
Police said a car was deliberately set on fire and the blaze then spread to another car and also to the house, extensively damaging the vehicles and the property.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze and nobody was injured.
Police are appealing for information about the incident.
Detective Constable Andrew Sinclair said: “Fortunately no one was injured but the occupants were left very upset and frightened by what happened.
“We are asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time to get in touch if they saw anything suspicious.
“In particular we are asking people to check their dash-cams to see if they have captured something that could assist with our investigation.”
