Police inquiry after woman sexually assaulted in early morning attack

Police have launched an investigation after a woman was sexually assaulted in a Glasgow lane.

The incident is reported to have taken place in the city centre’s Wellington Lane during the early hours of Tuesday.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Around 1.05am on Tuesday, December 7, police received a report of the sexual assault of a woman in Wellington Lane, Glasgow.

“Enquiries are continuing.”
